Public Option Polling

Some more polling numbers about the allegedly “controversial” the public option.

Lake Research poll from March:

73% of voters want everyone to have a choice of private health insurance or a public health insurance plan while only 15% want everyone to have private insurance. […]

What’s more, the preference for a choice of a public or private plan appeals to everyone — Republicans (63%), Democrats (77%) and Independents (79%).

63 percent of Republicans want a public option. Contrary to what the obviously bribed congressional Republicans and Blue Dogs (as well as some talkers like Steve McMahon from Hardball) are saying, the public option boasts overwhelming bipartisan support. Everyone wants this.

However, there’s one poll — predictably by conservative Rasmussen — that’s an outlier. Every other poll I’ve seen so far shows overwhelming support for the public option. Except this one.
