Four or five years ago, I remember being appalled by how President Bush never attended a military funeral. But this photo illustrates what all presidents who send our soldiers to war should have to endure. Agree or disagree with this president’s war policies, he is — at the very least — owning his decisions. This requires character and integrity, with a considerable dose of humility. Rare traits in our national leaders these days.
