I always chuckle a little whenever I hear establishment media people refer to the liberal blogosphere as “Obama’s base.”

Personally, I stand by my position that presenting a modulated approach with the White House is probably more effective than breaking out the torches and pitchforks every time there’s an anonymous quote leaked to Politico. By modulation, I mean that some issues require sensible, thoughtful pushback, while other times it’s a good idea to hold our fire and watch the bigger picture. Put another way, if we’re always screaming, it just blurs together into loud noises.
