    And by “substantial evidence” he means “I made it up” and by “caused by” he means “in the same timezone as” of course. Read that way, it makes a lot more sense. For McCain anyway.

    Yes, the first thing I thought of when I heard about these tragic fires was, “How can I blame illegal immigrants for this?”

    I heard last night that he said after the illegals cross the border that they use the fires to signal others crossing the border and somehow this caused fires to burn hundreds of miles away in the northern part of the state. that sounds like magic to me.

      Which is an absurd idea, since the smugglers work in the darkest, most moonless nights. They don’t like signal fires because that would simply make it easier for the Border Patrol to spot them. There are a bazillion different potential causes that make a lot more sense, the most likely being campers (which is the usual cause).

      The police already said the Wallow fire was human caused but they haven’t said by whom and it is still under investigation. Note the Wallow fire isn’t anywhere near the border, it is in the eastern part of the state. The Horseshoe 2 and Monument fires are much closer to the border (in fact the Monument fire goes over the border into Mexico). Both were human caused and under investigation. And the fires up near Flagstaff were caused by a local person, I believe, a Native American.

      I’m the police are less than happy with Old Man McCan’t and his statements since they are still investigating things.

    Ever notice how the phrase “Substantial evidence” is commonly employed in lieu of presenting any evidence whatsoever?

    If there’s evidence and that evidence is substantial, then put that shit on the table so the rest of us will be convinced. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

    I wonder if this is the same group McCain said were chopping off the heads of the farmers near the border. I mean really now, inquiring minds want to know.

      Of course it is. They chop of their heads and use them as tiki torches, which sometimes go horribly wrong and cause a fire. There’s substantial evidence that this is true.

    Mc Grumpypants is as useless as they come these dayz, I’ve lived in the Western US for the last 27 yrs and over 90% of the wildfires are caused by….. LIGHTNING STRIKES (not that these were ) and the other 9-10 percent are attributed to human activities , whether it be arson , downed power lines, fireworks etc. NOT ONE Fire has been attributed to immigration. If any Illegals are killed over this McCaint should be arrested for incitement. FUCK HIM.
