Pundit Madness

The day after the Republican debate on CNN, it began. The pundit madness. Get ready for a year and a half of cable news people talking about Republican presidential candidates like Oscar nominees in lieu of getting into all of the reasons why they’re so wrong about almost everything.

For example, instead of helping America by exposing Michele Bachmann as the dangerous crazy person she is, the Hardball crew spent way too much time [I think that's the correct link, but MSNBC's website is almost impossible to navigate] pumping her up on stylistic political points. She was articulate and energetic, she didn’t fumble, she performed well, etc, etc.

Thanks guys. Let’s make a very serious pitch for a crazy person who routinely botches history and holds some of the most radical positions in Congress during a slow recovery from a previously disastrous Republican administration — based solely on style points.

Quoting Jon Stewart: You’re hurting America.

Is that what we’ve come to? Are we going to dismiss someone who CARES so very deeply about all the things she thinks are true just because some of them aren’t?
By gum, if that ain’t just what America needs then I don’t know what.

(On my last sober note before I get seriously into this bottle of rum, I apologize in advance for what may follow.)

    BACHMANN/CAIN – Let’s Shake This Shit UP!

Really they are helping the liberal cause because if Bachman is nominated BO will crush her in the general.

Why is anyone shocked by this?

They–the MSM–did the same bloody thing to George W. Bush back during the 2000 campaign.

And people still claim that there’s no difference between the two parties….

Well, I once had an extremely well trained dog that could perform so well he won dog shows…..He could dress nice, never messed up….Stylistically he was da bomb. So according to the MSM, he could have been President.

Darnit! I wish I had known it back then….we could of made some serious samolians!

Style counts for a lot in presidential elections. Had Gore had any style, we would never have seen Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld et al

On ‘The View’ this morning (yes, I watch ‘The View’; shoot me), George Stephanopoulos literally said that Bachmann did very well in the debate. My guess is, they’re comparing her to Palin, which ain’t sayin’ much.

I think part of their kudos over Bachmann is their shock that she didn’t say anything overtly crazy. I sort of hope she does get the nomination. After all, she’s still the same lunatic, imho, she’s always been. She just happened to listen to Ed Rollins et al during her debate prep. She’s bound to blow some more crazy out of her word hole sooner or later–I just hope it’s after she gets the nomination.
