Careful What You Wish For

Virtually Republican you found sitting in front of a camera today attacked the administration for finally ending the Iraq War, and Hillary Clinton had an easy rebuttal prepared for them.

Maybe it’s because I haven’t slept much but I found this to be exceptionally amusing.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pushed back on Republican critics — such as Lindsay Graham and John McCain — for slamming the Obama administration decision to pull all troops out of Iraq.

On Meet The Press Sunday morning, the former New York senator told host David Gregory that GOP figures should have been vocal towards the last president’s decision and not the current one.

“They should have raised those issues when President Bush agreed to the agreement to withdraw troops by the end of this year,” she said.

I would also add that the Iraqis voted, ya’ know, as in democracy, not to allow U.S. troops to stay beyond this year’s deadline for withdrawal.

Maybe the Republicans are having second thoughts about that whole “spreading democracy” thing.

Michelle Bachmann said that Obama has had 3 years to undo the agreement Bush made but instead now Iraqis are so “unafraid of the US” that they are kicking out their liberators…but that they owe us for all of the “deposits” we have made there.

I can’t wait until the next GOP debate when every republican except Paul will be arguing about how they wish American soldiers were still getting killed in Iraq.

The Republicans make me sick. They knew that Georgeya was breaking the back of the military with his stop-loss policy. They know what the current suicide rates are for the military and how hard the military families have it between the payday loan merchants that they REFUSE to regulate, the pay raises for the troops that they voted AGAINST, and the lengthy and repeated deployments straining marriages, families, and the mental health of all involved. Yet they have the unspeakable GALL to OPPOSE a troop withdrawal. Kudos to Hillary for smacking them senseless.

BTW Glenn Greenbeck went completely BATSHIT Friday over the elevendy kajillion reasons that Obama is a liar, hypocrite, war criminal, etc. and should get less than no credit for getting the troops out. It was especially aspergery. Oh and yesterday’s column is all about how all credit for us leaving should go to Julian Assange (lol I’m serious).
