Yes, that’s right. You heard him correctly. Economic stimulus programs don’t stimulate the economic growth.

    Hahahahaha. That laughable.

The reality is that we shouldn’t be talking about austerity vs stimulus we should be talking about sustainability. Angela Merkel is doing a heckuva job navigating the European mess. I like her prescription for sustainability, tax cuts and increased spending.

Tax cuts assumes that there will be more revenue generated, while increased spending uses that revenue to stimulate the economy. Yeah! Germany’s economic success has come from taking a fresh look at how to do business in the 21st century by networking business interests that work in tandem.

I thought this guy was dead – as an economist. I guess once an economist fails, they just keep talking. The Nobel Prize (or whatever it is) for Economics is a joke. Not that this guy would even ready that level. He must be a bad joke.

They repeat over and over that the stimulus didn’t work and the librul media never calls their bullshit so it is now “fact”.

BTW, from an aviation newsletter I read (file under damn unions):

As part of a union deal, US Airways is now hiring 400 customer service agent workers total in Phoenix, Reno, and Winston-Salem to replace positions formerly held in the Philippines. The deal came about as part of negotiations between unions brought together under the 2005 US Airways and America West Airlines merger. US Airways handles roughly 18 million customer service calls each year, and the airline’s new hires will bring its U.S.-based customer service workforce to about 1,900. Hiring has already started.

The airline announced the plan to move the jobs in April and began hiring on Nov. 1. In a statement, the airline touted the move as “a testament to the positive relationship” it has with the union. US Airways still operates a customer service call center in England to field calls inbound from outside the U.S. Concurrent with the jobs deal, US Airways also launched an interactive voice-response system, which suggests that you will be talking to a machine before talking to any new hires. The unions are touting the new hires as the combined result of solidarity and working with a successful airline.

You’re absolutely right, Mr. Laffer, stimulus spending doesn’t stimulate a national economy. I mean, the Tories’ policies have been a rip-roaring success in the British economy. Oh, wait, austerity measures pretty much killed the recovery in the UK, didn’t they?

Tell you what, Arthur, you go sit quietly in the corner with your crayons and color quietly. The grown-ups are busy, trying to clean up the mess made by the people who still take your ideas seriously.

These people who promote this should all be rounded up and dropped off in downtown Mogadishu.

“The reason we have the high unemployment…is because of the stimulus spending.”

Anyone tell Art that we were hemorraging >750K jobs before Obama took office?

Dear old Art has a very appropriate last name.
