Norquist Republicans Support Tax Hike

We’re through the looking glass, people.

WASHINGTON — A day after the Senate overwhelmingly approved legislation to extend a payroll tax cut for two months, House Republicans made clear Sunday that they would not support the measure.

Up is down, black is white, Republicans are raising taxes.

The tea party republics have lost any credibility they might have had. After campaigning in 2010 to end health care reform, repeal child labor laws, repeal wage and hour laws, end unemployment insurance, repeal civil rights laws, cut taxes on corporations and ultra wealthy individuals to zero, all of a sudden they decided they are 100% firmly behind extending unemployment benefits, and cutting payroll taxes for a full year. They only thing the tea party republics have done now is they have dug themselves a deep hole on the payroll tax cut as they will raise taxes on 160 million working class Americans. This is shameful.

It’s just another example of “We’re against it because Obama endorsed it”.
