Worst Person in the World

Far-right crackpot and Dr. Zaius look-alike Brent Bozell for this:

A Fox News guest on Thursday said that “you might want to say” President Obama looks like “a skinny, ghetto crackhead.” [...]

“How long do you think Sean Hannity’s show would last if four times in one sentence, he made a comment about, say, the President of the United States, and said that he looked like a skinny, ghetto crackhead?” Bozell wondered. “Which, by the way, you might want to say that Barack Obama does.”

The far-right, especially Rush Limbaugh, has been tossing this meme around for several years now and it never sticks. They’re completely and utterly kerfuffled by President Obama’s character and intelligence because it doesn’t fit the stereotype they’ve invented using their well-entrenched bigotry.

That last sentence sums up the wingnuts. Their racism is so entrenched that it doesn’t allow for accomplished black people. (Except athletes who are naturally gifted and entertainers who have natural rhythm. They were born that way, ya know, and never had to work to get where they are.)
The President’s accomplishments are intellectual and personal. This does not agree with the far-right’s view of how black people are. (Remember O’Reilly going to Sylvia’s in Harlem and being genuinely shocked that the black patrons weren’t yelling and cursing.) Rather than examine their prejudices, they just double-down. (I remember a Fox person complaining that the President was “chugging back 40s ” when he visited a pub in Ireland.)
I’m sure there’s much worse stuff on the wingnut sites.

Hell, there’s much worse stuff than that on HuffPo.

        I’m sure. That’s why I don’t go there. Ever.

Brent Bozell, of the conservative Media Research Center, appeared on Fox Thursday night, where guest host Mark Steyn showed a clip of MSNBC’s Chris Matthews saying that Newt Gingrich “looks like a car bomber.”

Out of bounds, not funny and not accurate (Gingrich looks more like a Q-Tip or a half-melted Jabba the Hutt figurine). Oh, and Matthews made the crack in March, apparently, so it took Steyn and Bozell nine months to work up the requisite outrage. What a waste of a perfectly good snit.

“How long do you think Sean Hannity’s show would last if four times in one sentence, he made a comment about, say, the President of the United States, and said that he looked like a skinny, ghetto crackhead?” Bozell wondered. “Which, by the way, you might want to say that Barack Obama does.”

Swing and a miss for Bozell. Seriously, even when knuckleheads like him try for nasty insults, they manage to sound silly and pathetic. And pretending that Sean Hannity doesn’t say disparaging things about Barack Obama is ludicrous. Fail, as the kids say.

Best comment over at TPM, from apnarken: “Isn’t this guy supposed to be protecting us from seeing nipples on TV?”

Who’s he kidding anyway? If Hannity had said that, his audience would be high-fiving each other and yucking it up.
