They’re Both Terrible

John Stewart summarizes this past week’s shenanigans and loses his mind in the process.

That clip of John King backpedaling is just hard to watch. Embarrassing.

John King, in that moment, encapsulated everything that is wrong with the mass media today. They have been cowed by bullies like Gingrich for going on 25 years now, and have spent so much time sucking up to them that they simply know no other way to behave.

Also, the whole “Do you care to comment on that” line of questioning…Really? Pudding soft, as Cenk would say.

Couldn’t agree more. Here’s a question that the “left-wing” media won’t ask…Newt, aren’t you a hypocrite for trying to impeach the President for having an affair while you were having an affair? -or- Newt, how come gays and lesbians can’t marry someone they love, but you can leave your wife while she’s battling cancer to marry a woman you’re having an affair with, then leave her when she’s diagnosed with MS to marry another women you were having an affair with? What about the “sanctity of marriage?

    LOVED THIS!

And Stewart was right, John King should be flogged for allowing Gingrich to get away with that BS. Brian Williams made sure that the audience would not ‘feed the beast’ when Gingrich responded to questions. Now Gingrich is saying he will not allow the media to silence the audience at future debates because the audience has a right to free speech.

The more these right wingers talk, the more it becomes clear that they have no idea what the constitution nor the amendments within it really mean.

How does an injunction against GOVERMENT limitation on the free exchange of ideas turn into this kind of a license?

        It does, OIYRAR. ;-)
