American Auto Industry = Chicago-style Politics

As we discussed yesterday, the Eastwood Super Bowl commercial was even-handed x 1000. It called for cooperation and further progress to return America to dominance on the road. Evidently, Karl Rove and the Republicans think this is all about “Chicago-style” (black) politics.

“I was, frankly, offended by it. I’m a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, I thought it was an extremely well-done ad, but it is a sign of what happens when you have Chicago-style politics, and the president of the United States and his political minions are, in essence, using our tax dollars to buy corporate advertising and the best-wishes of the management which is benefited by getting a bunch of our money that they’ll never pay back.”

These people are paranoid demagogues with clownish leadership and a dwindling voter base. This reaction doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. They’d shove their own mothers into a wood chipper and blame the president and his “Kenyan anti-colonial Chicago politics” for the blood spatter on the other end.

Jeremy Clarkson claimed a year or two ago that Top Gear had received an angry letter. Nothing new there, but this particular gentleman was so incensed he said that “if I ever met you in the street, I’d poo in my hand and fling it at you.”

I didn’t know Karl Rove was English.

“Chicago-style politics” is just another empty buzzphrase to get people doped up with fear and panic. They have no idea what it means; they just know it’s bad, it’s something they should fear, loathe, and seek to annihilate, and most importantly, it’s something they can avoid entirely by simply voting Republican.

Voting Republican will bring an end to “Chicago-style politics.”
Voting Republican will bring an end to “the entitlement society.”
Voting Republican will bring an end to “government handouts.”
Voting Republican will bring an end to “out-of-control spending.”
Voting Republican will bring an end to “job-killing regulations.”
Voting Republican will bring an end to “the nanny state.”
    … “big government.”
    … “socialism.”
… “government interfering in our private lives.”
    … “activist judges.”
    … “confiscation of wealth.”

    Blahdee blahdee blah.

The day voting Republican actually brings about anything Republican voters vote Republican for, I’ll repent and become a Yankee fan.

Clint Eastwood is a Republican. Does not being a total fucking prick make him a RINO in Rove’s eyes?

After this, Eastwood may take the hint and bail on the GOP.

This and his pro-marriage equality comments gives him two strikes against the wingtards. Hopefully they’ll spew enough bile and venom at him that’s he’ll tell them to get fucked. We’ll take him!

Hopefully he’ll let Rove make his day before heading for the exit.
