Romney and Santorum Tied Nationally

Five polls, five statistical ties between Romney and Santorum.

I have to admit — I might have been wrong about Rick Santorum’s chances. But knowing how this Republican primary has played out, it’s entirely likely that Santorum will implode somehow and Romney will regain his lead. Either way, I’m still enjoying the mayhem.

Part of me thinks, “yeah, let Santorum win and the President will beat him worse than a red-headed step child in the general” but then I think….what if the American people don’t notice what an incredible asshole Santorum is and they vote him in? I literally shudder to think of his as president….his ideas would set women back to the Dark Ages–literally. Heaven (or FSM) help us in that case.

I never would have believed that this could happen. Santorum is so far right, I would have thought he’d be considered as fringe as Paul, but apparently not.
Lol. I admit to enjoying the spectacle also. :)

I must believe that Santorum will implode/collapse. The notion that enough people would actually vote to nominate him is simply too depressing to contemplate. It’s as if while everyone was focused on the Taliban overseas, they were able to infiltrate the Republican party and infect our national discourse.

I’m stunned. Six months ago, I would have bet that Sanoturm would be the first candidate to drop out as soon as he ran out of money and then announce his new weekend show on Fox “News”.

The fact that he has a 50/50 chance of being the nominee is still unbelievable. I thought when we in Pennsylvania realized what a horrible person he was, his career in elected office was over.

Like most here, I’m of two minds. The longer he stays in, the more the entertainment value. But what if he actually did win?
