Election Pollgasm

Greg Sargent:

CNN has Obama leading Romney by 52-43 among registered voters; Gallup’s daily tracking debut has Romney by 47-45; Reuters has Obama ahead, 47-43.

Translation? I have no idea, but here’s two things: 1) I think President Obama would win if the election was held today, and 2) the pro-Romney 43-45 percent of America is really effing crazy.

    Translation: NOBODY has any idea.

If the media at large were to call it straight — the way it should ought to look to anyone following politics these days — the way Maddow and Hayes have called it over the last few days. If they would admit that Mitt has next to zero potential to metamorphize into a thoughtful, responsible leader once in office, and that he’s going to remain a mere robot for the conservative powers-that-be, then Willard wouldn’t have a snowballs chance in the fall.

If you thought Dubyah was just a puppet for the NeoCons, then just imagine what the empty vessel Romneytron 3000 will be! And the party who’s bidding he’ll be doing has become so radicalized in the post we-done-uhlected-a-black-president era, that the NeoCons are starting to look downright sane in comparison.

Polls are useless this early. There will be so much ebb and flow from Romney’s VP announcement, the conventions, October surprises, etc.
