Just Another Lone Nut?

There’s no need for speculation. The man responsible for the attack on a Planned Parenthood clinic in Wisconsin on Monday has both admitted to the attack and illustrated his motives.

A Grand Chute man accused of setting a fire at a Planned Parenthood clinic made his first appearance Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Green Bay.

Francis Grady, 50, told U.S. Magistrate Judge Sickel he planned to plead guilty, but Sickel ignored the statement and scheduled Grady for an April 19 preliminary hearing.

At one point, Grady interrupted him to ask, “Do you even care at all about the 1,000 babies that died screaming?” […]

Outside the courtroom, Grady told a Green Bay Press-Gazette photographer, “I just want to give one wink to my girlfriend.” When a reporter asked him why he had planted a bomb at the clinic, Grady corrected him, saying, “There was no bomb, it was gasoline.” He said he did it because “they’re killing babies there.” […]

Outside the courthouse, Grady told reporters, “I’m here to do good and not wrong.”

That’s right. A “pro-life” nut is here to “do good” by trying to kill people. And he’s clearly proud of himself.

Conservatism is a mental illness.

I know a whole lot of anti-abortion folks who call abortion murder. To them I have to say: really? Is it really murder? If you saw a little kid being beaten up on the street wouldn’t you step in? If you could pull a kid out of the way of an oncoming bus would you? I am sure they would.

But in reality they DON’T think it is murder or even care, or they would be running to save the so-called murdered babies.

At least this nut believes what he says.

Wow, those are some bizarre statements.

I keep waiting for the “Breaking News” report on how 35 years ago, the Russians where pumping chemicals into America’s water supply which has led to conservatives losing their freaking minds lately.

If by “Russians” you mean “Koch Brothers and R. Murdoch” then, yes.

“It’s incredibly obvious, isn’t it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual, and certainly without any choice. That’s the way your hard-core Commie works. I first became aware of it, Mandrake, during the physical act of love…Yes, a profound sense of fatigue, a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence. I can assure you it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women…women sense my power, and they seek the life essence. I do not avoid women, Mandrake…but I do deny them my essence.”

He is NOT pro-life; he is anti-abortion. Don’t let tehm control the narrative :)

    • JMAshby

They aren’t controlling the narrative. They refer to themselves as pro-life. Hence putting it in quotations. To highlight the irony.

Fuck Francis Grady and the psychotic high horse he rode in on. I am so done with these fuckers.

Religious extremism is the disease here.

How would Grady respond if you told him he could significantly lower abortion rates without harming anyone by supporting raising taxes to: 1) increase access to contraception, 2) increase the availability and quality of sexual education, and 3) provide job training and support services for unwed mothers?
Yes, it is an over simplification of why abortions happen, but would Grady embrace a non-violent and actually working solution or just start in on screaming “liberty!” and “socialism!” at the notion?
