Newt Gingrich Bounces Check

No, seriously. That headline isn’t a joke.

A $500 check Gingrich wrote bounced. Gingrich’s campaign filed papers and the $500 filing fee to enter Utah’s primary, but the check didn’t go through, and the campaign has not returned calls from the state, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

And thus ends the 2012 Republican nominating process. Time to trade in the clown car for something that goes well inside a car-elevator.

    This story would be funny no matter what, but the fact that it was a $500 check that bounced has had me smiling since yesterday.

    That Newt Gingrich sure is a transformational political figure, isn’t he? *snerk*
