Obama’s Fault

Mitt Romney gave a speech at a shuttered factory in Ohio today wherein he blamed President Obama for failing to reopen the factory.

The only problem is the factory closed under Bush in 2008.

LORAIN, Ohio — Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney has visited a factory in suburban Cleveland that closed in 2008 when George W. Bush was still in the White House, and blamed President Barack Obama for failing to reopen it in more than three years in office. [...]

Now the vast plant stands nearly empty, and Romney said that’s evidence of the failure of the president’s policies to get the country working again.

Of course we all know the Obama presidency actually started in 2007 at the beginning of the recession and everything is his fault. At least that’s what the Right Wing wants you to believe.

Local officials in Lorain, Ohio weren’t impressed by Mitt Romney’s spectacle.

“When you have to clean up a mess that was created over eight years, you will not get it done in four,” Lorain City Council President Joel Arredondo, a Democrat, told the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Lorain Mayor Chase Ritenauer said using the plant as the site for the speech was an attempt to “distort the president’s message.”

“Distort” is one way to put it. “Pull lies straight out of your ass” is another.

Is Mitt Romney even capable of telling the truth? About himself or his opponents? I’m unconvinced.

I suppose Mitt’s dishonesty is the president’s fault too.

Unfortunately, the media appears to be giving Romney a pass with all his lies. But I hope he tells such big whoppers that the alleged liberal media will be forced to call him out.

If the media told the truth the race would be a foregone conclusion and so no one would tune in over the next 6+ months, which would hurt the bottom line.

All of which you prolly already know….

“I suppose Mitt’s dishonesty is the president’s fault too.”

Of course! He’s making poor Willard sell his soul so he has a chance to win.

Well, it was also Obama’s fault that McCain had to go negative because Obama wouldn’t agree to all those townhall debates that Grandpa McNasty demanded! The GOP — the perfect party for those with a wife-beater mentality. No wonder they don’t support VAWA. Bitches had it coming!

Mitt Romney standing in front of a run down factory looks like corporate America returning to the scene of a crime, for fuck’s sake. A hit & run. Either arrest him, or fire up the Sarah McLachlan. Oh sweet manufacturing sector in America, you’re in the arms of an angel. Mitt’s here to hose you off somewhere along I-290 when you shit yourself with fear.

Mitt Romney’s standing right there. The embodiment of cause and effect in one image. Slap some money down and make some jobs, motherfucker. Let’s see that Romney magic.

If president Obama turning -6.8 GDP to positive growth and job losses to job gains is making things worse, conservatives might as well be selling America on the idea that Jackie Robinson was a terrible baseball player and actually made the game worse.

Oh, will the not-so-subtle dog-whistle race baiting ever stop? “Obama isn’t working.” is the caption on his signs and lecturn. Why doesn’t he just say Obama is shiftless?

No, that makes perfect sense. Obama’s presidency is a failure because he has not yet managed to fix up everything that Bush FUBAR.
