Doing Just Fine

According to the Wingnutosphere, yesterday was a day that will live in infamy. Why? Because President Obama said the private sector is “doing fine.”

They are doing fine, actually. More than fine.

Business Insider has a rather large collection of charts, supported by data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, that corroborates every word the president said. Here are a few of my favorites.

Corporate profits after tax

Rental income

Private sector employment

Business Insider’s glorious collection of charts also covers the president’s words on the slump in public sector employment, but that’s not in dispute by the Republicans. They may even gloat about it. You know, because those aren’t real jobs.

These charts and context and facts are no fair! Out of bounds, man! You should be ashamed. You can’t treat retarded Republican Americans like this!

Look at how happy they all looked when they were mocking and deriding the president!

Eric Cantor bought a new man-slave!

What’s he supposed to do now? Huh? man slaves aren’t cheap!

The Mainstream Media thanks you for being their spokesperson.

My favorite part of the “coverage” of this story is the complete and utter lack of context – and nut just by the rwnjs. There was an AP article in the local rag today that, if it was all you had to go on, would lead you to believe theat the President made that statement out of the blue.

They say a “gaffe” is when you accidentally tell the truth.

Anyone remember “clinging to guns and religion?”
