Pitching A Solution for a Problem That Was Already Solved

The whole discussion over Romney and his thoughts about the Detroit bailouts is a perfect example of Republican duplicity, cynicism and opposite-day nonsense.

Once again yesterday, Mitt Romney tried to thread a ridiculous needle by criticizing the auto bailout and suggesting that he wouldn’t have given the auto-makers any government money.

He’s counting on the idea that way too many Americans are unaware that the bailouts were massively successful. It all worked perfectly and the auto-makers are more successful than at any other time in recent history.

But Romney disagrees with the successful solution. Why? Because idiot Republican voters don’t know that it was already solved. So here’s his solution to the problem that was wildly successful without him.

Does your brain hurt yet?

I especially like the way he says that Obama should have left it to the private sector to sort out Detroit’s issues but conveniently leaves out the fact that even HIS Bain Capital refused to invest any money into the ailing industry. Yeah, Mitt, just keep telling those lies.

Huge shock! Republicans lying. Newsflash! Breaking!

This we know to be true.

I want the dems to start speaking up.

  • missliberties

Why are Americans unaware that the bailout was succdessful.

That is our failure, not theirs.

I am so sick of talking about what bad guys Republicans are. It hasn’t worked.

Why can’t we make the case for ourselves. Why can’t dems defend the stimulus and healthcare and the autobailout and labor?

Labor has supported democrats forever and democrats have done little but use their money to get re-elected.

    • Scopedog

Actually, there is one Democrat who is defending the stimulus and HCR and the autobailot and labor.

And that’s Barack Obama, the President of the United State.

(A bit of fact for you–in 2010, the Dems that lost were Dems that were opposed to a lot of the President’s actions on HCR and the stimulus. The one’s that supported Obama and spoke about it won re-election. Just FYI.)

        Hi Scopedog!

        All true.

I sincerely hope that the rest of the dems see the light and jump on the train.

I might have to kill myself if Citizens United enabled a GOP supermajority, Congress, House, President and Supreme Court. :)
