The Scarcity of Abortion Providers

If you need an abortion, be prepared to travel.

The far-right is winning the war against reproductive freedom.

Nearly nine in 10 (87 percent) of U.S. counties, home to more than one-third of women of reproductive age, lacked any abortion providers, according to a 2011 study. Nearly all non-metropolitan counties (97 percent), and roughly seven in 10 metropolitan counties lacked a provider. There are 26 states where 90 percent of counties lack an abortion provider.

Fact. The Republicans are making it nearly impossible to exist as a woman of reproductive age in way too many states. It’s nightmarish to consider where this will all lead.

    naturally this will result in more unwanted children, and apparently republicans find this to be a good thing for our society. I’m sure they’ll be willing to fund all the health care and education needed for these tykes

      Now why would they do that? Just ship ‘em off to a sweatshop and make them work for our Holy Job Creators.
