    It’s a good thing no politicians were shot in the head in Arizona. Otherwise that might be considered to be in bad taste.

    There used to be a minimum competency you could count on in elected officials (and people running for office). The bar was lowered so far by the Tea Party coming into power that we’re neck deep in complete idiots, running and winning public office. They don’t understand government, they don’t know how it works or what it does, and they sure as hell don’t respect it, the people who serve it, or the people it serves.

    They are nihilists without knowledge or wisdom and if the American people don’t wake up, this country is going to turn into a nightmare of permanent recession, a powerless citizenry, corporations run amuck, and stifling right wing social restrictions that protect only the rich and the white while ensuring a boot on everyone else’s neck.
