Worst Persons in the World

The Luzerne County, Pennsylvania Republicans for this.

Republicans in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania have elected Steve Smith, a lifelong white supremacist with close ties to neo-Nazi groups and groups like Aryan Nations, to the county’s GOP Committee.

The elections, which took place in late April, were certified by the committee two weeks ago, and Smith notified supporters of his victory last week by posting a message to the online forum White News Now.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has documented Smith’s participation with known skinhead organizations like Keystone State Skinheads, (now Keystone United) which he co-founded in 2001. And his racist activism extends far beyond violent rhetoric as well, into actual violence.

Nah. The Republicans aren’t racist. Not even their racist leaders are racist.

That’s why they say “Alabama in between” Philly and Pittsburgh.

    • D_C_Wilson

Well, technically, Luzerne County is north of Philly, not in between Philly and Pittsburgh.

But that’s the northern tier, or the upper part of the “T” for you. Luzerne County includes the city of Hazelton. Remember Hazelton? That’s the city whose mayor decided to drive all Hispanics out of town by adopting unconstitutional anti-immigration rules.

Republicans – Not Racist, but Number One With Racists!

  • Brutlyhonest

Come on, Bob. When your tent is as big as the republicans’ is, you’re bound to get some nuts.

This is why the Republicans are going to win this and the majority of every other election for the next generation — they just don’t give a fuck.

“Hey, you put out a 4-minute hit piece on the president and dressed it up as news?”
    “Yeah? So?”

“Hey, people in your party across the country have killed cats, threatened to throw acid in the face of female politicians and have publicly posted the address of abortion providers in hopes that someone will kill them.”
    “We sure did!”

“Hey, you just elected a white supremacist to an official role in your party in a key swing state.”
    “Suck it, hippie.”

That isn’t why they are going to win elections.

They are going to win elections by voter suppression in the name of fighting mythical voter fraud. They are going to win by continuing to create an alternate reality where they can lie without any fear of the consequences.

Republicans know that long term, demographics are against them. They’ve got about 20 years to lock in the Ayn Rand/Milton Friedman inspired corporate oligarchy they’ve been dreaming of before running on white Christian resentment no longer works. If they don’t make it impossible to repeal government by the corporations, for the corporations, and of the corporations by then, we might actually have government that serves the people.

      And they can’t have that.

        It all ties together though.

        “Hey, you’re suppressing the vote.”
        “So?”

They’ll get away with that too, because they don’t give a fuck and if you don’t like it, it’s because the media is liberal or something.

Maybe its time the Southern Poverty Law Center name the Republican Party as a hate group.

    • D_C_Wilson

They’d consider it a badge of honor.

And then Fox would run an “expose” about how the Southern Poverty Law Center is a communist organization.
