Pollgasm

All of this appears to be great news for the president. And don’t worry about the national polls. The swing state polls are the ones that really matter:

The state-by-state polling is extremely difficult for Mitt Romney. He basically has to pick up Florida plus one of Ohio or Virginia to stand any chance at all.

Pretty disappointed the numbers are that close. Also, what the hell Wisconsin???

    • i_a_c

Wisconsin hasn’t gone GOP in 20 years, but the blue state is somewhat purplish. The fact that the president is above 50% and beating Money by 6-8 points is good news.

Oh I definitely agree there. It’s just, as someone who lives here, I still can’t wrap my head around the whole recall fiasco and now still pretty strongly supporting the President over government-as-a-business Romney.

    National polls are schmuck bait.

The thing I can’t wrap my head around with the polling is that I would like to see the gender and racial breakdown of the polling, because the Republicans have pissed off everyone but a handful of old white guys. Obama has double digits leads with gender, blacks, latinos and gays. Following that logic, there is no way the polls can really be that close, unless we as a nation is really stuck on stupid.

Gee, and the outlier is Rasmussen. Go figure.

And . . . those numbers are BEFORE the debates. :)
    Romney is a P.O.S.
