Flashback: President Explains Medicare Advantage Reform

This is from one of the 20120 televised “Question Time” debates between the president and congressional Republican leadership. Here the president explains why Medicare Advantage needs to be reformed and where the savings should go.

Nothing has been cut. Everyone is getting a better deal and paying less for it. According to HHS, Medicare Advantage premiums are down and enrollment is up. Hardly indicative of something that’s suffering and despised.

I find it interesting that Romney wants to, according to RW talking points, “preserve” Medicare for the next generation, but he hates the savings in the Affordable Care Act that extend the viability of the program. You know, because conservatives love cutting “government waste” until a Democrat proposes reforms. Maybe it’s because the savings go toward helping beneficiaries and not health insurance companies like Paul Ryan’s Vouchercare.

Obama said plenty but libruls were too busy eating him alive because ….., x, y, x and purity ponies.
