Medicare is a Winning Issue for Democrats

And yet they keep avoiding it. Until now.

David Shuster wrote a fantastic Huffington Post
item about how Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), Co-Chair of the House Task Force on Seniors, finally took a backboned posture on Medicare rather than caving to a “grand bargain” with Republicans.

I would go one step further and suggest that healthcare reform — Obamacare — is a winning issue for Democrats this year. But you barely see a single ad about that at the Senate or House level. Seniors have saved $4 billion dollars on the donut-hole alone, while millions of young people will have healthcare until they’re 26. To name a few.

But the crickets continue to chirp outside. Nothing.
