Hilarious New Karl Rove Ad

The latest from Karl Rove’s despicable Crossroads GPS SuperPAC:

Staggering considering Rove’s former boss:

So far, President Obama has taken 61 vacation days after 31 months in office. At this point in their presidencies, George W. Bush had spent 180 days at his ranch where his staff often joined him for meetings. And Ronald Reagan had taken 112 vacation days at his ranch.

Bush and Rove were engaged in two wars of their own choosing, following the most deadly terrorist attack in American history, and they took three times as many vacation days. We should laugh at this commercial if it wasn’t so remarkably tragic, misleading and wrong.

But watch this drive…

Another racist dog whistle about the black president not working.

It’s wildly misleading, and the claim that the president is “skipping” his intelligence briefings is just another lie.

  • Brutlyhonest

Rove, who should be in jail, knows a lot about the problems facing this Country because he helped create them. I’d like to see an ad reminding folks about his complicity.

It was never necessary for “W” to be at the White House as President Cheney remained there often enough to destroy our Country. And he did.

    OK, I’m confused.

Is President Obama the communist, socialist, indoctrinator-in-chief that has camps set up across the United States to brainwash our children, covert agendas to take away our guns and freedom and a hidden bunker underneath the White House to communicate with terrorists overseas, instructing them to attack our US ambassadors and embassies all the while pledging allegiance to al-qaeda . . .(*breath*)

    OR . . .

is he a shiftless, lazy negro that’s falling down on the job?

These twists and turns to the hundreds of narratives they make up against this man I just cannot keep up with!

    • Brutlyhonest

The self contradictions of the rwnjs is amazing, isn’t it?

    • eljefejeff

the fact that they have these 2 completely conflicting narratives just shows how full of shit they are. In order to win, they need to fire up the base and get independents on their side. They’re hoping either one of these will stick, either with the far right crazies, or working class white men.

The people they are targeting are not as rational as you are. These are the people who have no problem believing that the President Obama is both a dangerous foreign socialist who sympathizes with the terrorists and is out to destroy the country; and also a lazy, incompetent, negro who loves to play golf instead of attending to the business of government.

By the way, mainstream media has been very active in feeding them this picture of “a shiftless, lazy negro that’s falling down on the job.” If you don’t believe me, check out CBS’ Mark Knoller’s relentless tweets about the number of President Obama’s golf outings, and the number of his campaign events. I don’t ever remember Mark Knoller doing the same thing when Bush was president. But then again may be CBS had not yet hired him to scrutinize how many times the President went golfing.

Bottom line is that for right wingers, some left wingers, and many in the corporate media, President Obama has done absolutely nothing in his almost four years as President. To them, he is an absolute failure. But that image is not good enough to scare people. So we get from right wingers this other contradictory image: The President has done so much, in less than four years, to totally destroy the the United States as we know it. Removing him requires a revolution in order to be able to take back the country that he has single handedly destroyed.

I ask some of the right wingers I come into contact with to name at least one thing that President Obama has done that has totally destroy their lives as they knew it before he became president. Here are five answers that I regularly get from right wingers.

      1. The passage of Obamacare (which they argue is socialized medicine although all of them are still insured by private, for profit, health insurance companies).
      2. Ending DODT. To them this is proof that Obama is trying to destroy the military by inundating it with homosexuals. Never mind the fact that gays have been secretary serving in the military from time immemorial, even though they faced unfair discrimination.
      3. Obama has ballooned the deficit (I am sure they hear this a lot from politicians) thus tripling the national debt. A claim that has been debunked by experts who know that he has not tripled the debt.
      4. He is committing genocide against unborn children because he supports the rights of women to control their reproductive health decisions. (By the way the rate of abortion under President Obama has gone down).
      5. He wants to confiscate their guns. Now this is a charge that is based on speculating, with certainty, what President Obama intends to do in the future, despite the fact that in almost four years he has been in office he has done nothing of what they accuse him of planning to do when he is re-elected.

As far as I am concerned, it’s completely useless to try to reason with right wingers who hate President Obama. They have no problem advancing contradictory ideas so long as they both ideas are anti-Obama.
