You have to wonder how they would be used against populations, although I’m not too sure I would really want to know.

I gotta think that such a thing would be tremendously useful to soldiers on active duty. An autonomous, all-terrain, carry-all. That looks like it could carry a ton of gear. I wonder how quiet it is?
In robot future, you do not turn on robots, robots turn on YOU!

Then we had better install those Three Laws–and fast!

Man, that is fucking weird. I do like how it was able to right itself and continue on after falling down. Seems to make a bit more noise, though, than I might like for close contact operations.
Towards the end, the visual I had was of the guy trying to put it away in its…garage?…closet?…and hearing it say, “I’m sorry, Dave. I can’t do that.”

“Like in your nightmares.” No. In my nightmares I’m usually at least partially paralyzed for some reason, unable to move my limbs normally. I’d be desperately trying to get away, but the electro-mechanical whirr of that thing draws relentlessly closer. Yikes.

It’s a weird thing…it walks, has no head, or any real life…yet…it moves…
and it moves with a certain amount of intelligence…it falls…rolls…and still gets up…and it absolutely will not stop…until you are dead…because robots are strong…

Have I got a policy for you!

“It can’t be bargained with, it can’t be reasoned with–” Whoops! Wrong line!
This fits: “The Mechanical Hound slept but did not sleep, lived but did not live…”
(The first line is from THE TERMINATOR, the second is from FAHRENHEIT 451. Looks like Bradbury might be right….)

Ah…Fahrenheit 451…one of my very favs.

I like how at the 3:07 mark LS3 becomes Rafalca. “LS3 dressage now.”

Seems like it might be simpler just to buy some mules.

You gotta feed them, rest them. And, not the least, get them to go places they may not want to go.
looks like they still have a long way to go though.. if it was persueing a smart human..it would have difficulty with steep terrain, and wouldnt be able to go thru narrow openings..still.. scary concept..

It’s not designed for pursuit. It’s a support vehicle to carry equipment for the troops.

I wonder if it can be programmed to sniff out truffles…

I think that’s just cool as hell.

He looks exactly like the player character in manhunt 2.
