Gun Fetishists and Chicago’s Firearm Homicide Rate

So I’ve been hearing from gun fetishists that the strict firearm laws in Chicago clearly haven’t worked because of the 500 gun-related homicides this year so far.

Okay.

If they’re suggesting bans and regulations don’t reduce the prevalence of something, perhaps they should stop trying to ban abortion and contraception. You know, because bans don’t work.

    Hence why an outright gun ban is never going to be the solution to the problem. Of course, the reason why there’s so much violence in Chicago is because we ban drugs.

      Or because there was zero thought put into the repercussions of closing down the projects and moving those folks into other areas that had already been “claimed” by a different gang.

        Well that would mean the gun fetishists would have to understand that crime and violence are complex multi-causal things and the fact that a gun ban was in place is not the only thing to consider…And we know how good their powers of observation and investigation are….

    Having as many guns as one can possibly fit into his hovel is an inviolable right bestowed upon us by The Founding Fathers™. Gun control makes Baby Jesus cry.

    The Constitution doesn’t mention either abortion or contraception, so it’s perfectly fine to ban them. In fact, it’s more than fine, since banning them only inconveniences slutty ladybits-havers and they hardly count, now do they?

    And now my brain hurts.
