Multiple People Shot Accidentally at Gun Shows

And on Gun Appreciation Day, no less.

Emergency personnel had to be called to the scene of the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, North Carolina after a gun accidentally discharged and shot [three] people at the show’s safety check-in booth just after 1 pm. Both victims were transported to an area hospital, and the Raleigh Fire Department announced that the show would be closed for the rest of the day.

There’s more…

Two similar incidents occurred at entirely separate gun shows in the Midwest, one in the Cleveland suburb of Medina, Ohio and the other at the state fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. In Ohio, the local ABC affiliate reports that one individual was brought to a hospital by EMS, and in Indiana Channel 8 WISH says that an individual shot himself in the hand while trying to reload his gun in the show parking lot.

Law-abiding gun owners I’m sure. Yep, somehow they’re allowed to not only sell guns without background checks at gun shows, but they’re allowed to load their guns with live ammo. Smart.

But since “people kill people,” and guns don’t have anything to do with it, would the same thing have happened at a comic convention?

The arguments between whose hotter, She-Hulk or Rogue can get pretty heated.

Power Girl is hotter than both by far.

I’m surprised that a thousand others didn’t pull their penis-extentions out and began shooting.

What, so no one has ever died laughing?

I’ve been following a blogger that’s been keeping tabs on accidental shootings among other things and the numbers are staggering. Regulation involving firearms can’t come soon enough. I think most gun owners in the U.S. are responsible people but the number of moronic things that people do with guns, most of them very simple mistakes, demands action.

I laughed my ass off when I heard this over the weekend . . .
. . . after I found out no one was killed of course.

It just puts a cap on the argument being made by advocates for stricter gun laws.

Just like Texas burning up in flames after Gov. Rick Perry prayed for rain in the state. God is getting fed up with these right wing whackadoodles.

“Three single 30-something men died today when a gust of wind picked up a comic book and hurtled it through the crowded Comic Cave comic book store. Witnesses said the razor sharp paper edges sliced right through the victims jugulars.”
