Ted Cruz is a Fraud

CruzOathkeepers

Now that we’re approaching zero hour and Senator Ted Cruz will be presented with his last opportunity to cancel the socialist apocalypse, Cruz has announced that he will not filibuster the Senate bill to avert a default and reopen the federal government.

“I have no objections to the timing and the reason is simple. There’s nothing to be gained from delaying this vote one day or two days. The outcome will be the same. Every senator, every member of the House is gonna have to make a decision where he or she stands, but there’s no benefit. I’ve never had any intention of delaying the timing of this vote.”

While Cruz’s 21 hour rendition of Dumb and Dumber wasn’t a real filibuster, it did have the effect of delaying a vote prior to the government shutdown. But now that he has a chance to perform a real filibuster, he claims that he “never had any intention” of delaying a vote.

It’s not that I wish he would or that I’m encouraging him to do so, this is just a clear display that he’s all bark and no bite.

And what has he accomplished? The Republicans get almost nothing out of today’s deal, and for their trouble their poll numbers have nosedived into the toilet to historically bad levels.

Cruz is such an embarrassment, Texas newspapers are now beginning to recant their endorsements.

“When we endorsed Ted Cruz in last November’s general election, we did so with many reservations and at least one specific recommendation — that he follow Hutchison’s example in his conduct as a senator. Obviously, he has not done so. Cruz has been part of the problem in specific situations where Hutchison would have been part of the solution.”

My guess is the PR flop that was the Million Veteran March painfully showed Cruz he needs to hide few months for people to forget or he won’t even last a week when the 2016 primary season opens (not that he was going to last more then 2 months anyway).

    He’s not a fraud. He’s an actor.

Republican politics is an improv act. The Tea Party is an improv act. The 21-hour faux-libuster was a performance piece.

If you think of this as improvisational theatre, with a premise, characters, a script, and actors hired to play the characters and say the lines, it all makes sense. Thinking of it as anything else will make your head explode.

He’s like a used car salesman, a televangelical preacher, and a Vegas act all rolled into one sinister son of a bitch. He is always performing— he’s pretending to be fully human. He’s a sociopath.

        He’s a sociopath

Exactly the word for all of them.

I think he is actually working for Fidel (or Raul ?) – like his father did – He has done nothing good for this country and continues to harm it with every step he takes – He is the TRUE Manchurian Candidate

Can he really be an improv act?? Isn’t the first rule of improv to never say “No”? ;)

Well, for them there’s “no” and then there’s “no”….ya know?

It’s too late….my brain matter violently dispersed when I found out about how he and Palin used the the WWII Veterans this past weekend.

At this point, it’s no secret that even most of the republican senators think Cruz is a gigantic asshole. I’m guessing that after his multiple PR disasters (the Fauxlibuster, the WW II Memorial exploitation), McChinless has had a enough and told Ted in no uncertain terms to sit down and shut up.

We’re not going to hear the last from Ted Cruz. Sooner than later, he will shoot his mouth off again because he is that deranged, that determined, and that narcissistic to get his vision and message out to the American public – whether they want to hear it or not. And there will be media outlets (Fox News, Limbaugh) that will bend over backwards to accommodate him and allow him to speak.

A lot of these cranks don’t know what key words mean in legislation they’re emoting over and babbling about to any camera they stick can their faces in. The Chambers of Congress aren’t town halls of high school pep rallies. At this rate, it wouldn’t surprise me if lobbyists and contractors starting slipping them mickeys in their twelve dollar high balls at lunch.
