Boehner Says No to Impeachment, Still Doesn’t Know What His Lawsuit is About

BoehnerBawling

John Boenhner said no to impeachment today which I’d call a smart move given recent events.

Asked about former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s comments that Obama should be impeached over the influx of child migrants illegally crossing the border, Boehner said, “I disagree.”

Then asked about members of the House GOP who have also urged for impeachment, Boehner repeated, “I disagree.”

We recently learned that House leadership can’t decide what their lawsuit against the president will be about because they aren’t sure what won’t be thrown out of court.

If they can’t decide what they’re suing him for, how could they possibly decide what to impeach him for?

I doubt anyone in the Republican party could narrow down a single, specific and credible reason, but there’s no shortage of carnival barkers calling for impeachment.

All they know is the president is guilty of an offense which is to be determined later. He’s presidenting-while-black.

As soon as they can figure out how to get Obama to lie under oath about his sex life, they’ll be golden.

Palin mocked the lawsuit in an interview Monday on Fox News.

“You don’t bring a lawsuit to a gunfight. There is no place for lawyers on the frontline. Where are the front lines in America? They are our borders,” she said.

I hope John Boehner gets a case discount on his Prilosec.

Given the sea of red I live in, I hear this shit all the time. Obama should be impeached, he’s a criminal, he’s a socialist, etc. Whenever I’ve asked for anything–anything at all–that they can point to to support their accusations, they have nothing. It always devolves to “that’s just how I feel”.

The GOP doesn’t do a damn thing these days without a political agenda behind it. They got so accustomed during the early Bush years getting people to believe what they were saying simply by virtue of the fact that they were saying it they became convinced that it doesn’t matter if it had any substance, had anything resembling fact supporting it or even that it was true. If they said it enough times, it became reality. Anyone remember “We make our own reality”?

They’ve been doing this for so long now that they’ve gotten lazy–or, as I like to think, they’re just too dim to know any better–about doing any kind of research or even trying to base their arguments on any kind of fact. They’re so thinly transparent–and always have been in my opinion–that it truly amazes me that anyone at all takes them seriously.

How could we forget the only time a Republican hasn’t lied in the past 20 years.

There is that, certainly. The Republican party is heavy with racists. But the more I see them preparing for possibly Clinton for 2016, and recall how they were with her husband, I suspect a larger part of it is actually be the (D) after his name.

I can’t give the Republican Party a pass on the racism. Yes, a part of their insanity is due to the fact that President Obama has a (D) as his party affiliation. However, the rest of the vitriol coming from the right is racism. The Republicans couldn’t stand the Clintons, but at the end of the day, compromises were made, legislation got passed and bills were signed into law. President Obama has endured a new level of craziness that goes beyond what the Clintons dealt with.

The Republicans Party and their shenanigans includes:

Making a blood oath to obstruct on his inauguration day.
Supreme Court Justice disrespect him at the State of the Union
Congressman calls him a liar at the State of the Union
Praising Bush policies when Bin Laden was killed
Praising Putin instead of rallying around him
      Birther nonsense
Governors refusing to shake his hand
Republicans refusing to denounce the racist in their party
States trying to maneuver to not have his name on the ballot
Record number of filibusters in the Senate

That is just a small sample of things done to this President that in my humble opinion goes beyond them disliking him because he has a (D) for party affiliation. The root cause for the Republican Party sophomoric behaviour is that there are those in the party who cannot get past the fact that a black man won the Presidency.

Wasn’t intending to give them any kind of pass on the racism, Zen. It’s very much there , particularly obvious among the “base” that Republicans have been eagerly pandering to.

But despite the coded wordings and other dog whistles used to attempt to mask their racism, there’s a rejection of reality and facts that goes beyond just not liking someone for what they look like. There’s a deep-rooted irrational rejection of what Democrats/liberals/progressives believe (with Obama being the most visible Democrat so the most hit target).

His lawsuit is only about creating a P.T. Barnum type spectacle and attention whoring to flame up the white, ignorant bigoted conservative base for the summer recess and town hall campaigning.
It has nothing to do with solving our nations problems, addressing current national or international issues or even basic governance of our country.

I would run, I would crawl
    All to kill Obamacare
    Obamacare
    Only to obstruct you.

    But I still haven’t found
    What I’m suing for.
    But I still haven’t found
    What I’m suing for.

    Presidenting-while-black. I love it. That’s exactly it.
